Key and Candle Foundation
MIssion Statement
The Key and Candle Foundation was created in 2005. The mission of the Foundation
is to provide partial or full scholarships for people to receive psychotherapeutic
services. The scholarships are awarded on a combination of financial and
clinical needs, determined by one or more members of the review committee
and of the board of directors. Once applications are approved, there is
a continual review process to determine if the recipient is motivated and
cooperating with the treatment. Scholarships are awarded for a series of
20 sessions and extensions can be requested, based on clinical needs.
The Foundation, in its effort to be a positive influence community wide,
will also sponsor educational workshops on topics related to parenting,
mental health issues, behavioral issues, substance abuse issues and more.
Workshops can be tailored to meet the needs of the community.
If you have any questions or would like to apply for a scholarship, or discuss
a possible workshop, contact Gary Silverstein, Executive Director of The
Therapy Center at 914 242 - 0725
